I am a Chinese American Artist, living in San Francisco and making a living by teaching art. Currently, I am building my Tiny Home on an organic farm in Sebastopol, CA. I name it “Dragonfly” - symbolizes transformation, adaptability, and self-realization.

I believe we are like trees that rise up from soils and are rooted in nature. However, during this conflicted time, we are bleeding at the roots. We have lost our connections to nature -- to grace and harmony -- due to an insatiable desire for money and power and resources. We have become out of touch with the natural world to which we have forgotten that we belong. There are strong callings for us to return to nature.

I’ve always been dreaming and visioning to have my own home, security and safety for years. I have been longing to be rooted by way of a Tiny Home with nature. It took me years to save up some money and find the land to grow my home. A couple of weeks ago, I started putting hands on tools, to dig the hole in the ground, to root my new Home. There have been many hardships, but also many awakenings on this journey. Like giving birth to a child... I have learned so much, and have so much to offer: things that now I can share with encouragement to other women like me who are trying to be independent, to build a solid safe shelter, and call it home.

Currently, I am raising more money to continue finishing my Tiny Home. Hopefully, she will take off and fly high this summer! I spent 3 months building this tiny house. I have learned so much about contractions, project management and, most importantly, the creative process. It's the process of felicity, the dream to reality; the process of creation and problem solving. I feel empowering and independent as a woman.

Moving forward, I like to keep traveling and keep creating. I like to share my creation with others. As my intention of building this Dragonfly Tiny house - symbolizes transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. I share this with you, in a hope of inspiring you to achieve your OWN dream.
